Autoquake.com is a transactional website which allows consumers to make a purchase decision online for used cars, an expensive and complex used product.
As part of the continued expansion programme the position of Vehicle Assessor will give you an opportunity to work in a dynamic team orientated environment with good opportunities to grow your career. You will enjoy working in an evolving, results driven fast paced environment at there preparation and handover centre near Crossgates in Leeds West Yorkshire.
This position is full time and permanent.
Benefits:
£3,000 Annual Car Allowance plus business mileage
Main Objective:
To quickly and accurately appraise all intended vehicle purchases to the company vehicle preparation standard and enable the company buyers to make sound purchasing decisions by providing real time, accurate vehicle repair estimations in a fast paced auction environment.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- To provide accurate vehicle repair estimates in line with company refurbishment standards
- To provide the company buyers with up to date information during the sale
- To capture vehicle specifications, optional extras, inoperative functionality and identification of damage and pervious repairs
- Ensure all supporting documentation is accurate and completed in full and on time
- To assist and advise with the most appropriate repairs that will add value to vehicles
- Ensure the correct decisions are made on vehicles in a fast paced environment
- Maintain MOT standards where applicable
- Ensure compliance with all safety and legal requirements on each vehicle
- Assist team members from all departments
- Adopt new approaches and procedures to meet company expectations
It is essential for this role that you have a technical and bodywork background holding the associated qualifications which will ideally be at NVQ level 3 or above in vehicle or body repairs. Previous experience of Bodyshop estimating programmes and computerised estimating systems would be a distinct advantage.
The ideal person will be able to demonstrate that they are thorough, methodical and well organised with at least 6 years relevant industry experience and the ability to work and make decisions under time pressures in an extremely fast paced environment. Experience of auctions and vehicle purchasing would also be an advantage.
