Birmingham City Council could be forced to pay out up to £600m in equal pay case.

Thousands of female Birmingham City Council staff could receive a share of up to £600m in compensation after winning an equal pay employment tribunal case.

Up to 5,000 female workers, including cleaners, care assistants & cooks, brought the case against the council after they were not paid bonuses that were offered to male refuse collectors, allowing the men to earn more than £50,000 a year.

The tribunal found these bonuses were discriminatory because it was rewarding male workers for doing their jobs properly.  Read more

Description:

MOTOR TRADE JOBS: Our client is a large privately owned Motor Group based in Yorkshire and the North East who are very successful and expanding. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Car Sales Executive in one of their busiest locations in Leeds with a volume franchise. Career progression would be possible for the right person who can prove themselves as a competent Vehicle Sales Executive selling new and used vehicles, achieving targets and delivering high customer satisfaction.

Key Tasks

  • Follow up and prospecting of existing cutomer base
  • Demonstrate the vehicles features and benefits
  • Negotiate agreed terms
  • Close sales
  • Deliver the very highest of customer satisfaction

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years Motor Trade experience within the sales environment and be able to demonstrate the core skills and processes.
