Safety Audits
As with any Safety Management System it requires monitoring, review and auditing. A Safety Audit is confidential and carried out by a trained auditor to identify failures which will include but is not limited to:
- Safety Sampling
- Review of policies
- Review of training records
- Review of accident records
- Review of Safe Systems of Work
- Workforce and management interviews
- Areas highlighted by the workforce or management
The basis of the audit will be to identify if the system exists, is adequate and is being used. This will form the audit report which will be discussed in full with the relevant staff at the end of the audit and a confidential fully bound audit report will be submitted.
